Anti-Discrimination Rules at DIB

No person shall be disadvantaged or favored because of their gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, ancestry, ethnic affiliation, cultural background, language, homeland and origin, refugee experience, beliefs, religious or political views, disability, age, family status, social status, or educational background. Therefore, DIB has established the following rules that apply to all participants, instructors, and employees:

1. Respect and Dignity: All participants, instructors, and employees should treat each other with respect and dignity, regardless of all the criteria mentioned above.

2. No Discrimination: Discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, racist, sexist, homophobic, or transphobic actions or statements.

3. Equal Opportunities: All participants should have equal opportunities to participate in lessons and demonstrate their performance, regardless of their personal characteristics or backgrounds.

4. Right to a Safe Learning Environment: Everyone has the right to learn and work in a safe and supportive environment. Harassment, bullying, or other forms of inappropriate behavior are not acceptable.

5. Confidentiality and Privacy: Personal information about participants, instructors, and employees will be treated confidentially and used only for its intended purpose.

6. Complaint Procedure: There is a clearly defined complaint procedure that allows participants, instructors, and employees to report discrimination or inappropriate behavior without fear of negative consequences. All complaints will be taken seriously and handled appropriately.

7. Training and Awareness: Instructors and employees receive training and awareness measures on anti-discrimination and inclusion to raise awareness of these issues and avoid discriminatory behavior.

8. Accountability and Consequences: Anyone who violates these anti-discrimination rules will be held accountable. Appropriate measures will be taken to ensure that discrimination is not tolerated and that all participants, instructors, and employees are protected.

These rules are intended to create an environment free from discrimination and prejudice, where all participants have equal opportunities to succeed.
